Request for Penalty Waiver – Medical Grounds
In some cases, airlines may exonerate the penalty for flight changes if a valid medical reason is presented. If approved, you would only need to pay the fare difference.
📄 Required Documentation
- Medical certificate (PDF, JPG, or .DOC format)
- Estimated recovery period
- If hospitalized, a document confirming the hospitalization period
- If the patient is a direct relative, include a document proving the relationship along with their medical certificate
🩺 The Medical Certificate Must Include:
- Date of diagnosis (must be the same day or before the scheduled flight)
- Details of the diagnosis
- Full name and ID/passport number of the patient
- Full name, specialty, and ID of the doctor
- A clear statement indicating the passenger is not fit to fly
- Contact phone number of the doctor and/or medical facility
- Doctor's signature and official stamp
